I'm trying to made a number of modifications to a show and I am not able to delete fixtures from the fixture chooser. "Delete Item" is greyed out under Items, and "Delete" is greyed out under Edit, and the Delete button doesn't do anything.

My Fixture Chooser window is unlocked. Is there some other lock I need to disable to be able to delete fixtures? It would be so much easier to be able to do this in the Fixture Chooser than in the patch window.

I realize I may be exposing my ignorance but you can't delete fixtures from the chooser. You have to use the patch window for deleting fixtures. I rarely actually delete fixtures unless I'm positive I'll never use them again. I usually unpatch them and/or unshow them from the chooser.

What you said is exactly what I am experiencing, but why is there an option to delete when right-clicking a fixture then? It's just greyed out.

These are just a bunch of source 4's, so I'd like to delete them to keep the setup cleaner. I can easily readd them if I need them for the next stage layout we do.

It's a bit cumbersome trying to find fixtures to delete from the patch window. You either have to check each fixtures patch first, or mouse over in the patch window and wait for the text to popup. Really wish you could delete from the fixture chooser.

It's pretty fast to delete from the patch window... Your selection in the fixture chooser is in the patch window as well. You can select as many fixtures as you want and delete them.

-Select in the fixture chooser
-Go to the patch window.
-Maneuver to the correct universe
-Press the delete key.

Backspace won't work, it has to be the delete key.

Hi,

The delete item option under the fixture chooser right click menu is used for deleting elements other than fixture icons, such as notes, matrices etc..
To remove an item from the layout without deleting it from the show entirely use the hide items option. This will hide the icon from the layout.
