Using an M1 console to a bunch of Mac 250's. Had a canned fx running and suddenly all lamps went into reset. Same thing happened spontaneously during programming. Wondering if anyone esle has has a similar problem or could explain why it happened. Lamps were not using strobe at any time so reset could not have been triggered.

if it happened every 5 minutes or so check your dongle (it'll say dongle/visualizer mode across the top of the vista window)

otherwise i'd suggest that something lost connection in your data line (likely the output of the console) which caused the lights to reset

did any of the other fixtures you were using also reset?

Dongle was working ok used a 512k (well i assume...) was a really basic set up - 6 mac 250+ (older units) not going thru a node, just DMX thru a 12 channel digital dimmer then looped out to the macs. The reset didn't happen every 5 mins, probably twice in 45 mins, once during programming then once during show. Thank god it was only a demo for the client. Usually i use a Vista I3 and love it to bits but for the small stuff i've been taking the M1 out.

might have been a bad link between the M1 and whatever computer you were running it off of
