At my church we have 4 dimmers for the house lights and on one show they work and on another when i strike them it says that they are not fully patched and that they are ignoring. The only problem is that all of our new songs are on the show where they dont work. How do I repatch the dimmer boxes in the correct show?

We are running the S1 console on an older PC
We cannot reach the dimmer boxes easily cuz they are up in the ceiling.

I am not really sure whats going on. You shouldn't have to Strike a dimmer. That is something you do with moving lights that have arc lamps. The console should always Ignore dimmers if you try and strike them. That Macro does not apply to dimmers.

Make sure your dinners are patched as generic dimmer channels in your new show. They should just work without giving them the Strike command.

So when you power up those dimmers they report that they aren't receiving dmx control ? right ?

It sounds like you you don't have a Generic / Dimmer patched on the channels those dimmers were set at.

If you can load the old show file and find out where they were patched you should find it pretty easy to correct the patch in the new songs show.

We ended up getting it fixed. I dont know what he did to fix it but they r working now.
