Post Help with VNC not working
I was recently blessed to get a T2 and an ipad2 at work and have been having issues setting up the VNC to work. I set it up on my S3 with no issues but can't get the T2 at all. I setup my wireless router and the iPad says its connected to it. I am using the app VNC Viewer by Real VNC but can't get it to connect to the T2. I did this on Vista 1 last Christmas and it worked fine. I don't know what I am missing. The wireless router is setup with a static ip address on the same subnet as the vista but not using the same ip address that the manual says the T2 uses. How can I check to see if the T2 is setup properly to broadcast? I am running in VNC mode land when I go to network settings it doesn't show an ip address. I'm running the 2.1 software.

Any help would be amazing.

You might want to check it with a PC and see if you can ping the console's IP address.

If it isn't showing an IP address on the console it might be set to DHCP mode. I have our console set to a static IP address, the router hard lines are static and my tablet/wireless is getting DHCP since that's less important. I assume this is a network with no other traffic right?

You are sure you are in VNC mode right? Sometimes that boot screen goes by so fast that it is hard to catch it. Second, I never run anything Vista with DHCP turned on. I set everything to its own IP so I don't have issues with devices "jumping" around in the IP's.

Actually it turned out that my router was just an access point for repeating the signal. I didn't know enough about networking to know those even existed. I've learned a lot in a short time though and am now going strong. In fact I did my rehearsal tonight on my iPad from the catwalks.
