Post Only 3 Fixtures for a 12 channel fixture help
Still learning here, so I apologize if im missing something obvious. Im using an American DJ Mega Tri Bar and want to use it in its 12 channel DMX mode. When I add the fixture I see it occupy 12 channels but I only get 3 fixtures to work that control RGB for channels 1-9. How do I control channels 10,11 and 12? Channel 10 controls macros, channel 11 is strobe speed and channel 12 is master fader. Any ideas???

Hi, mate.
You will find the extra controls for channels 10, 11, & 12 in the Custom Section of the Palettes.

Channel 12 is likely to be mapped within the fixture profile to the intensity of the entire fixture so you shouldn't have to access it as a custom parameter.

Channel 10 control can be found in Custom / Misc. 10:Color Mix.
If you double click on that button a window will open with all the macro features you can access from that channel.

I don't have any of these fixtures so i could be wrong but I don't think you are going to get strobe speed out of channel 11.

It is mapped as Custom / Misc 11:Color Mix Macro Rate. The manual from ADJ website lists it as SPEED/SOUND SENSITIVITY CONTROL SLOW - FAST. From that description I would only expect it to work when channel 10 is set to Colour Mix Mode Audio (dmx 231-255).

Most missing parameters / control channels will appear in the Custom tab in the Palettes toolbar. In fact anything that doesn't cleanly map to the Generic Fixture Parameters ends up there.

I hope this sorts you out.
