Radiance Hazer Profile - Not sure how to get this to a fader
I've got a new Radiance hazer, and I can't figure out the best way to assign it to a fader for manual control with the current profile available. The fan/haze controls are both custom controls. For now, I ended up using 2 light fixture dimmer profiles - one for haze and one for fan, creating a cue with them both at 100% and assigning that cue to a fader. But, I'm sure there must be a better way.

Yeah, Haze / Smoke parameters are a pain in the butt.
I use a custom fixture with 2 intensity channels for our Unique hazer. That at least gives a visual indication of what control levels i'm sending in the fixture chooser and shows up in the output screen.
I had thought of trying to build a custom profile with pump as intensity and Fan to gobo rotation speed (fan gobo of course). I haven't had a chance to do it yet.

Hi tohmit, I've attached the fixture profile I use for our Radiance hazer. It's not the greatest but I did set up the haze control as an Intensity slider. The blower has it's own parameter typed as Custom Misc. I usually run the blower all the way up and just fade the haze to fit my needs. Perhaps it will be helpful to you,

Thanks spender grass. How are you controlling it during a show? On screen in the Fixture Chooser?
I'm looking for the best way to set the Haze output to a playback fader. Do you have any suggestions?

Re: Radiance Hazer Profile - Not sure how to get this to a f
I have a cuelist that we run without a fader. Our services are run by volunteers so I just set the hazer levels that I wanted and have them start and stop it.
Here's a breakdown of my cuelist
Cue1 - Fill: Haze 100%, Fans 100%, Big blowers on Cue2 - Steady: Haze 65%, Fans 100%, Big blowers off Cue3 - Clear: Haze 0%, Fans 100%, Big blowers on
Cue1 runs for 3 minutes or so and then automatically goes to the steady cue. It holds at steady until they advance to clear.
If you want the haze on a fader... Create a cuelist with the blower at the level you want, set the haze to 100%. Then load the cuelist onto a playback with a fader. In cuelist properties you can set the cue to "Fade all attributes" or "Intensity only" depending on if you want the fans to fade with the haze or not. I would generally default to "Intensity only" so that the fan speed remains constant.
Good luck,

Okay, that's pretty close to what I've done, but there's a couple things you're doing different that I like. Thanks for the input!

I always run my hazers off a virtual console w/ fade all attributes on, because they're typically something I never touch once the show starts
