Hi all
Still getting to grips with my new desk so bare with me.... I have been messing around with chases etc today. Through clip properties I change the rate by entering a numeric value however is there a way that "Rate" can be assigned to one of the three wheels so we can see it happening live then store that value or is it only through the properties window? Del,
Make sure your clip is loaded onto the super playback section: by pressing and holding down the select button assigned to your clip, or by dragging the clip to the super playback in the console view, or by using the "load" command in the super playback window, followed by pressing any button assigned to your clip. the super playback now has control of your chase clip. Now press the third button from the left directly under the super playback screen. It's labelled "rate", I'm sure you'll be able to find it. the sections above the first two wheels now change to reflect their rate actions: the left one will always be used to control the speed of programmed effects in the clip, the centre one will control chase speed (in BPM) if the clip is a chase, or playback rate if the clip is a stack of cues. And if I can add a request here to the developers: can we get the third wheel to represent crossfade levels for chases? I'd love to have hands-on control of that... _________________ Regards, DutchGuyDesign Erik Steijvers "I am not only the president of the giggling little bitches' club, I am also a member" http://www.dutchguydesign.com S3 M1 |

FYI: just like a hog, you can also hold down the select button and change the rate with the wheels.

But you don't have to have the clip loaded into a super playback.....

Yes I found that if you press and hold the star above a playback the super playback display changes to give you rate etc. Different BPM are also remembered. Handy

So I have a question about rate changes. You can change the effect rate and playback rate, but is there a quick easy way to reset both back to 100%?
I got bit by this today. I was showing somebody how easy it was to change the effect speed earlier, but then didn't move it back to 100%. Later during the show I noticed everything looked off, 6 second fades where taking 2 seconds, effects were way off.. It took me a couple steps to realized that the rates didn't go back to 100%. I was playing back on a regular fader so I didn't see anything to warn me that rates where all messed up. Thanks! _________________ Jared Roman Lighting Director Buckhead Church http://www.buckheadchurch.org Vista T4 |

If you keep the rate button pressed the you will see two Reset buttons.
Just press the button to get back to 100% quickly. _________________ Vasco Lopes Jands Vista Training Garrett Audiovisuais Portugal |

Wow, how did i miss that. Thanks!
I still wish there was something to warn you that the rates are off, like maybe an "*" in the playback control window next to the clip or something in the display. _________________ Jared Roman Lighting Director Buckhead Church http://www.buckheadchurch.org Vista T4 |
