Post Understanding FX and Clear
I have 8 color Hotspots that are used to enhance the stage.
While using an FX, my M1 fader does not have control of intensity. That makes sense to me as the FX has intensity. When I stop all FX, I would like to regain control in the M1 fader. The only way I am getting fader control again is to clear Live. When I clear Live it defaults to white color.
So my questions are: Can I get fader control of intensity without clearing Live? Or, is there a way to take the intensity setting out of an FX, where fader control is always active?

Also, when I do clear Live, is it possible to change the default color?

We normally run a show totally live, without cues. This seems to work best for us. I’ve tried working from cues, but adds a level of complexity we don’t really need. I have a lot to learn here and am trying to make our small system as volunteer proof as possible.
Thanks for any knowledge, Ron

Since your FX is using intensity you have captured that parameter in the Live tab. The only way to stop that is to clear the intensity parameter. You could simply just clear the intensity parameter by going to Tools/Clear/Clear intensity.

You can update your home preset with the color if that is what you want the fixture to do when you hit clear. To do that you set the color you want and then go to Edit/Home/Update and make sure you have just the parameter selected that you want to change. Now when you hit clear it will go to the "look" you saved.

Thank you Ben.

Editing 'home' will help me in making some live transitions.
Usually it is the little things :D

I may go edit some FX and see what I can do there.
