Post Visualizers
Hi all! So I just had a quick question. I have been trying to get any of the visualizes to get to work with v2. I would really like this to work because it would be useful so I could program at home but I've tried everything and I think I'm doing something wrong. What is the easiest visualizer to use and how to connect? I am using a MacBook Pro.

For ESP Vision 4, you must use 2 Apple Computers networked together, one running Vista, the other ESP Vision 4. Not sure about other visualizers but I would assume that they would have to run on a different machine than the Vista OS so that the Artnet communicates properly. I've never tried to build a plot in the Vision software, it's very easy to model in Vectoworks and then export to Vision, so if you went with that software I highly recommend this route. Also Vectorworks recently purchased ESP Vision, wouldn't be surprised if it became a part of the software in a few years. :)

Yep, I use Vectorworks/Vision 4/Vista. Artnet has a limitation to where one device can only input or output dmx at a time. So you can't have one computer send and receive simultaneously. Which is a bummer.

Honestly I would rather never have the visualizer and the controller on the same machine. Certainly not in a show situation and even for programming this could be difficult unless you had a few monitors.
