Post splitting playback control
I don' t know if my level of english is so good to explain mine suggestion well, but I am going to try.
We can split playback control in two or three ways, when we splitting in three ways we control each space by all different items ( faders and button), but when we splitting in two ways we control above space by up button and below space by fader and down button,. It could be good can choose to control split in different ways. I would like to control the below space ONLY by fader and above space by BOTH button. Does someone agree that?

I agree, that would be very helpful sometimes to choose how the buttons assign. That would make the top section similar to how the fader less playbacks are, and the bottom section would have the fader and bottom flash button.

I have no idea how that would work in reality, but I like the idea.

exactly Jared, you could assign at the fader the dimmers of spot for example, and at the buttons a chase of color( or gobos, or position) of the same spot.. so with the same finger you could active lot of things, and at the buttons you could also assing skip forward and skip back for example...

there's a pretty easy work around for this;

split the playback into 3, assign the cue list you want to both button spots, assign what buttons you want to use to control that cue list as required

assign fader and button options for your other cue list

James, that makes since. I do like it as a work around, but it would be nice to not have to do that. You loose so much LCD space by having the cue-list name on there twice.

Here is a thought: So you know how you drag down from the top and it splits into 2, then in to 3, what if when it was split into 3, you could go to the top and drag down again, and that would make the top two sections one section. OR you could drag the top divider bar down to the bottom divider bar essentially making the top 1/3 take the top 2/3 of the LCD. Something like this would flow well with the current design of splitting the playback.

It would be lovely if we could get that! I posted a similar method in this thread here. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3279
