Post Feature Request: Fixtures can ignore the Grand Master
Don't know if this is already planned or not, but I'm running kind of a strange setup where my Bar Power is linked to a DMX channel and fixture inside of Vista. The only caveat to this setup is when I drop the grand master under 50%, the bar power and all my non-house lights shut off. Could there be a way either with a custom fixture or with a checkbox inside of Vista to make a fixture IGNORE the grand master and always stay at a specific intensity?

Have you tried a Non-Dim (default on) or simply parking the channels you don't want to change. I think the non-dim will work, i know parking the channel will work.

Yes. I've tried that. Whenever I drop the grand master below 51%, the bar power releases and I loose all my non house lights.

I stand corrected. Parking the fixture in the patch panel does force it to ignore the grand master. However, I'm wondering what the side effects are. Anyone know (if any)?

There aren't any side effects to parking fixtures except they are locked where you park them and can't be changed until you unpark them.

in addition to this, you can park specific attributes of a fixture if you still want to control part of it while keeping a portion unchangeable by using the properties drop downs;

You could also get around it by setting a preheat value of 51%, but then you'd lose normal control over them as a side effect.
