Post Cuelist MIDI Control
Does anyone know if in the future we will see Vista native MIDI mapping that will allow for toggling of individual cue's? I'm hoping that we will as the project I'm working on kind of depends on it.

You posted in the Stage CL forum but mentioned Vista - which product are you using ?

The Stage CL doesn't support MIDI.

Oops, haha, haven't checked back here in a while and saw that someone replied this. I am using Vista and I must have clicked on the wrong thread before posting. Thanks for letting me know.

Post Re: Cuelist MIDI Control
Hi,
Could midi scene recall be added to the stage CL using a port through Ethernet connect. No need for a physical midi 5 pin din connection since a lot of products are moving to midi over Ethernet for automation. I believe this could be added in later firmware releases. I would like to be able to recall stored scenes on receiving note on events assigned to a scene.

Anyone else interested in this?

There are a couple of midi over ip protocols I know of:-

Mac OSX uses RTPmidi which is built into the core no need for drivers.

Windows OS either www.nerds.de ipMIDI ( there is a linux port for this available C source)

And

http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html RTPmidi for windows.

Seems logical to be able to add this to give midi control.

Failing Ethernet could go for usb to midi such as a roland um-1 to work off the USB port when inserted?

Cheers

Rob. :P
