Post Updating Scenes
New user; attempting to update a simple scene. I had made a Scene with 8 fixtures on and in a color. I wanted to change this to 4 fixtures on and in that color, so I switched from Scene mode to fixture mode, turned off intensity for the 4 fixtures, went back to scene mode, and recorded the new Scene to the same playback fader. Confirmed Yes to Overwrite. However, playing back the Scene the fixture intensity for the fixtures i had turned off returned. Had to completely delete and rewrite the Scene to get what I was looking for. What was I doing wrong?

There's a couple of things that you should check when you record for the second time:

1. Are the 'Select' LEDs on (blue) for the fixtures you wanted to record at 0% ? Stage CL only includes selected fixtures in record operations.
2. Are the Mimic LEDs for the fixtures to be updated off. If you were still playing back the scene the fixture faders may not have been controlling the channel. You might have to take the fixture faders up and down to take control of the level and reduce it to 0%

If this doesn't help let me know what version of the software you are using.
